Farmers Beef Stew, Gluten Free*
This traditional stew is loaded with fresh vegetables, including onions, carrots, and potatoes.
Ingredients

Vegetable oil -- 1/4 cup

Onions, red, baby, halved -- 2 cups

Carrots, baby -- 1 1/2 cups

Celery, large diced -- 1 cup

Beef chuck, pot roast, trimmed, large diced -- 24 oz

Water, hot -- 32 fl oz

MINOR’S GLUTEN FREE BEEF BASE MADE WITH NATURAL INGREDIENTS -- 1 oz

Garlic powder -- 1/2 tsp

Potatoes, red, quartered -- 16 oz
Preparation

1In a large pot over medium-high heat, add oil and sauté onions, carrots, and celery. Remove and reserve.

2Sear beef in pot with hot oil until each piece is well-browned.

3Combine water and Beef Base, mixing well. Add to pot with beef. Add sautéed vegetables and garlic powder to the pot.

4Tightly cover with lid and cook at 350°F in a conventional oven for approximately 2 hours. Add potatoes. Cook for approximately 30 more minutes or until both the meat and potatoes are tender.
