We operate a landfill-free facility where waste is either incinerated to generate power or applied back to the land. Even unused pumpkin cans are responsibly recycled!
Pumpkin Reuse
Every part of LIBBY’S®️ 100% Pure Pumpkin gets reused. Stems, skin, rind, vines, and unused pumpkin puree are applied on nearby farmland for fertilizer. Remaining seeds go to a squirrel seed vendor so nothing is left to waste.
Field to Can in Just 24 Hours
Our quick harvesting process means pumpkins are picked and packed immediately to capture the freshness. We strive to go from field to can in just 24 hours!
We constantly check for quality, too. A core plug test helps us understand a pumpkin crop’s average composition – information the factory needs from every field. We evaluate the seams, temperature, sugar content, solid content, and grit in the product to ensure the pumpkin meets our high standards.
We bake and taste pies daily to ensure quality!
